Noel Hoffman
Noel Hoffman is a retired School Principal whose interest in orchids dates back some 53 years when he was teaching at Spencer Park Primary School in Albany.
During those early years a great deal of frustration was experienced as it was difficult to identify species, there being too few sketches and paintings available. This frustration led to the publication of Orchids of South-West Australia, following his association with Andrew Brown and the Western Australian Native Orchid Study and Conservation Group.
He is a keen orchid photographer and enjoys studying the distribution and special requirements of these fascinating plants.
